Hockey

Auntie Beryl's picture

A new band from somewhere over the ocean.

A lot of the album has something of the Strokes about it, but the single "Song Away" is very The Cars/Tom Petty. Well worth a look if those names appeal.

The studio version has been yanked from YouTube, but here they are on Later:

I commend them heartily to you, the Massive.

Dare I say

that they sound a bit like Razorlight?

Little bit

No bad thing. They are hated here, but I think they're a fine band. Singer's a bit of a nob, mind.

Excellent song.

I hear Mink Deville in there. It has a lightness of touch which is refreshing among all of the everything-plus-the-kitchen-sink tracks which are popular with the young people at the minute.
Have a listen to them both.

Portland Oregon

I believe they come from. Portlands having a purple patch with Gossip and The Decemberists amongst others.
