Have you ever been invited up on stage? I was!
I went to see Jah Wobble's Chinese Dub show at the Arts Centre in Norwich last month. Great set, amazing Chinese dancers (particularly the face changers), lots of stuff from Heaven and Earth and Langtang. Anyway, the Chinese stuff finishes and Wobble does some old reggae standards (such as No,No,No) and then starts doing stuff from Invaders of the Heart. He then joined the audience to play and I shook his hand and grovelled. He gets back up on stage, starts the intro to Public Image and points to me to get on stage. I do. I realise I haven't a clue what the words are as it's a thirty year old track that my shuffle occasionally plays so I wing it and just keeping singing the 'hello, hello and the chorus. I'm sweating it, my wife's in the audience and her colleagues from work and I am starting to freak. Wobble, like the gentleman he is, came from the back of the stage and joined me in a duet. Didn't sleep for 2 nights. Anything like this happened to others?

No..
but I know a man who has. Mr Dave Lewis (leading authority on all things Led Zeppelin) is the guy who clambered onstage after The Who's performance of 'Won't Get Fooled Again' that featured in 'The Kids Are Alright'. Watch closely and you'll see him accidentally twat Roger Daltrey in the face. Just out of shot, Pete Townshend saying 'Bravo!'
I'm a nerd
Just back from Lovebox in Dublin where my brother and I belatedly took the stage after N.E.R.D. invited folk up. After shuffling drunkenly for a few seconds we were kindly ushered off the stage by part of the band, saying "no guys! no guys!"
It was only then that we realised that the other twenty or so stage invaders were all women.
