Halloween Horror Music
Posted by David Wright on 27 October 2011 - 8:17pm.
Thought I would compile a Halloween/creepy playlist of atmospheric and chilling songs to get into the spirit this year. Here's one for starters, not that creepy, but I like the lyrics. Any other chillers most welcome.

'Bo Meets the Monster' by Bo Diddley...
is most definitely a chooon.
Excellent
Tune indeed! This is the kind of thing I'm after, not heard this before, cheers.
You need these two Ace releases...
These Ghoulish Things: Horror Hits for Halloween
http://www.amazon.co.uk/These-Ghoulish-Things-Horror-Halloween/dp/tracks...
and
Dead! The Grim Reaper's Greatest Hits
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dead-Grim-Reapers-Greatest-Hits/dp/B000E6ENYE/re...
Both are excellent.
Bruce is up for Hallowe'en
Check this one out
ah-wooh
Concrete Blonde
Not exactly atmospheric, but how many other songs have 'an ectoplasmic lover from the other side'?
Electro Night
None spring to mind at the moment, cheers for this.
Devils And Dust
Creepy intro, the wolves are running tonight.
Suicide - Ghostrider
Quite creepy I feel
Frankie Teardrop
Quite a bit more creepier.
A Real Non Chiller
Werewolves A Go-Go
The Cramps always had a good line in Halloween friendly tunes.
They certainly did
Sounds like a cue for Lux's Hallowe'en Radio Show

Werewolves A Go-Go
The Cramps always had a good line in Halloween friendly tunes.
Lisa Germano - A Psychopath
a bit of devil music
The Cure - Lullaby
Stalker Song
If you buy the whole evil telecoms engineer listening into calls interpretation
A touch of Jay in the night
Not quite as scary as his demand from the Child Support Agency, though.
Burn The Witch
"Queens Of The Stone Age"
I'm A Mummy 1959.
Obviously
Tom Waits - What's He Building?
The Dame - all the Madmen
and if you want a stalker song. The ending of this with all the sound coming just bleeding into Costello's vocal mike sends shivers down my spine
Iggy does Edgar proud...
Terrifying
Asylum - Gary Numan
B-side to "Cars". Scared the devil out of my much younger self.
This one
will make you think you're staying at Five-Centres' house for the night (http://www.wordmagazine.co.uk/content/atm-ghost-stories)
Frightening
but not necessarily for the right reasons
(Apologies if this has already been posted, I can't see the ones above at work).
Pruning, pruning, pruning!
Old Nick....
...and Red Right Hand. Thought I'd use the one with the Scream poster on it, just to get us in the Halloween mood!
More from Mr Cave
Very unsettling
John Carpenter
Did menacing very well
Halloween Hip-Hop
... namechecks Dr Phibes. Nice.
I like the third film
More bloody folk rock
The answer of course is Fairport
