If you were Damon Albarn, would you not want the chance to front the Clash?
So Gorillaz (1/4 Blur, 1/2 the Clash & some session chaps) warm up for Coachella with a club (meaning a capacity slightly less than my living room) tour of the UK minus the Hewlett visuals, & a huge amount of apologies from Damon, apparently the lack of 'guests' and visuals is a problem, but really in a fan club only gig nobody could care less about the lack of Mark E Smith. Damon keeps smiling, Mick Jones is smiling like a man back on stage for the first time in 15(?) years, & the crowd are reflecting the smiles back tenfold. The band may just be having as much fun as the crowd
The Audience:
Shocked to be in such close proximity of a multi-million selling band, Damon's apologies for the lack of the visuals are ignored for enjoyment of a band having fun getting to know each other
Food & Drink:
Not sure I'd want to eat there, but the bar is about standard for a venue/club
It Made Me Think...:
Damon may not be the new Bowie, but he may just be as good as the UK has produced in my years of being a music fan. Although the full Gorillaz live experience, videos, guest etc may well be a disappointment after this
