Ahh is that time already

the Eavis family Christmas club gets early every year. I assume this is for next summer not the one after?

I'm in

Got onto SeeTickets just before nine, email confirmation just before ten.

Apparently 'over half' the tickets sold by 10:07, according to the official 'Glastofest' tweet!

I'm there in spirit already

Wondering if this years (or next years, or whenever it is) rush will be up to the chaos that it was a few years back. I seemed to get through pretty easily, so I guess despite the 'success' of this year its still not as popular as it was.

Or is it just too early? Are people still suffering from this years festival hang over to start worrying about the next?

Headline speculation anyone? I've read talk of U2 making their first appearance... I'm hoping for the return of this months cover star.

I hope you

have a great time.
I shall be studiously avoiding the TV coverage, as it fails to do it justice.

Which reminds me... Why did The Specials feel really bloated after eating a Chinese takeaway at last summer's Glastonbury?
Too Much Foo Yung.

Got mine

but can't get through to get the lad's. He'll go mad!!

Edit got his now.

Similar got them with deposits on both.

It better be worth it having spent 5 hours in front of a screen

Definitely Maybe

I've paid a deposit instead of an actual ticket as I'm unable to plan that far ahead.

Oh my, look at that!

Sold out now! Back to how it was a few years ago. Hopefully no disappointed Massive members (boom tish!).

Got my deposit down

Attendance highly likely but still to be confirmed as I've got a few things on next year.

Rampant inflation - Glasto car parking

Anyone else clocked that car parking has gone up 300% in the last 3 years?

In 2008 it was £5.00, 2009 it had doubled to a tenner a car and this year it's £15 per car. Would be expecting a good valeting at that price!

Also campervan parking is a hefty £75!!

Do other festivals charge this separately as an extra?

0

£15 over five days = £3 per day

Try finding somewhere you can pay that in any of our major cities.

As regards the 300% increase, I understand its part of the attempts to persuade people to use public transport rather then their own cars. Doubt it will work, but it'll certainly help swell the coffers a bit.

it's to force you to use a

poxy coach with a load of teenagers or join the scrum at the train station and then schlep for miles with your all kit from the next county sorry drop off point. I use public trains every day and yet festivals seem ideal for car use even if the greedy sussex police swooped on us 3 times looking for some easy clear up points from my friends supposed out of date MOT on the way to lattitude.
