Glastonbury Lineup published early...

...somebody at Q doesn't know the difference between am and pm, obviously!

Very Word-friendly this year if you ask me - particularly the Acoustic Tent. But something for everyone, as always.

Oh joy of joys...

according to this, there are two artists called Jamie Cullum appearing on the Jazz World stage on Saturday.

We are truly spoilt...

Other thoughts:

(a) da Quo on Sunday will be good...

(b) Has there ever been a stranger sequence of acts than Spinal Tap, Dizzee Rascal and Crosby, Stills and Nash? Methinks not...

Plenty there to interest me...

...but as I will be working at the festival, I just hope I'm not working the Friday evening as I want to see Neil Young above all else.

Apart from that, time permitting, I'd like to see: Nick Cave, The Egg, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, CS&N, Tinariwen, Spinal Tap, Jarvis Cocker, Bat For Lashes...etc, but quite probably won't be arsed once I get there, because I'll be on 'Glastonbury Time' and constantly distracted by things I just happen across.

As I work in the Theatre Circus area (Sensation Seekers' Stage), it's bit of a trek to the Pyramid stage. Last year I saw not a single act on the Pyramid! Instead I took in plenty of stuff on the fringe stages and, to be honest, I prefer the smaller scale performances. This year I intend to take in a bit more of the Poetry & Words Tent, which has a cracking lineup - including the wonderful John Hegley, Phill Jupitus and Attila the Stockbroker. From the Sensation Seekers' Stage, I can heartily recommend Bruce Airhead. What that bloke can do with a balloon is nobody's business!

Yes yes yes! Bruce Airhead!

Yes yes yes! Bruce Airhead! Saw him in... 2005? And came back for more! A bizarre and inspiring sight, recommended to all!

Elsewhere, the worst thing about this line up is the clashes; in particular Blur/Prodigy/Seun Kuti & Egypt 80! Although its very true that your main music stuff isn't necessary to enjoy Glastonbury; its all good!

Any more of the massive even remotely interested in Glastonbury?

Yep

I'll be there, doing a spot of work in the day and a lot of play in the night

My personal timeclash dilemma: Neil Young or Doves? Although you'd have to expect Y to join CS&N the next day....

Except the next day...

...he's playing in Hyde Park

Not one for the young 'uns

Judging by the big names drafted in: The Boss, Neil Young, Tom Jones, Madness, Status Quo? Not exactly 'cutting edge' is it? It would seem that despite the much hyped, so called success of Jay-Z last year, Mr Eavis does not seem keen to repeat the experiment this year.

It's looking good for me

I'm going and there's plenty there for me. Lots of potential clashes of course (it's a shame Ray Davies and Neil Young look to be on around the same time) but I'm sure I'll have a great time.
