My dear McBlast

What on earth are you blithering on about? I was on the Clapham Omnibus earlier this evening and two fellows of a similar kidney were gassing on in similar terms. Oh well, it must mean something to somebody so I shall pass along with a convivial wave to the good denizens of the land of Buckie Thistle, The Wee Dram and the Average White Band. Have a good McMingle

That's south of the river.

Even Amy Pond doesn't use Bridge Street subway in the dark.

Guid man Con

I don't seem to have your e-mail address

0
James Blast | 15 September 2011 - 1:19pm

Hammupferrit

Preferably Friday.

Can you explain the USB thing again though? I'm not sure the Laurieston is iMac-friendly, particularly when Word goons start chucking lager and crisps about?

Douglas | 15 September 2011 - 7:38pm

Unkle Stan's Nads

just sent out a mailer to oor reg'lars.
I didn't think it through.

Gawd do I feel stoopid!

0
James Blast | 15 September 2011 - 8:05pm

I might just make that.

I'm free for the first time for one of these. What to I need to do? Anything?

0
Jorrox | 19 September 2011 - 6:39pm

Just turn up!

You know where the Laurieston is? Just say if you don't.

James has kick-started an Autumn-themed CD, so if you feel inclined then burn a few copies of your own autumnal favourites and bring them along to hand out to the rest of us (and we'll hand out copies of ours to you).

It should be fairly obvious who we are - we'll make sure a copy of Word is on view.

Anything else anybody?

0
Douglas | 19 September 2011 - 6:59pm

Aye.

What he said and I hope for at least one new visitor in the shape of George Name (Keith knows him) a poster on the first Word Forum.
Now to wake Ted Maul from his slumber...

0
James Blast | 19 September 2011 - 7:39pm

Cool

Yes, I know it. Never been in it though.
Is there a settled date yet?

0
Jorrox | 19 September 2011 - 7:47pm

Friday 14 suits most folks

so we'll aim for that.

see you there

0
James Blast | 20 September 2011 - 1:22pm

Dress code

The Laurieston has a certain "earthiness" which may not be conducive to your Sunday best. And I wouldn't bother wearing your "pulling trousers" either, as the charms of this bar have yet to be discovered by any attractive burds (or guys) in the city (except us, of course).

0
Douglas | 20 September 2011 - 6:20pm

Tipping Point

You might want to make sure you're wearing something waterproof. There have been accidents...

0
Con Coleman | 20 September 2011 - 6:27pm

Gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen!

I've seen a couple of tidy wee Goth maidens, coupla groovey chicks frae the West End oan a 'sub-crawl'and it was wall to wall 'Manto' when The Cult were on. By all means bring your dancing pants, and a crotch umbrella.

<---checks to see who's on at the Academy
turns out to be this young lady, I have no idea who she is

Dubstep ultra-lite

Think Kestrel lager as opposed to SkullSplitter

0
Douglas | 20 September 2011 - 7:55pm

Dubstep already makes me

Zzzzzzzz

0
James Blast | 20 September 2011 - 8:56pm

Damn!

Thought I might have been able to break my Glasgow meet duck this time. A quick check of the calendar tells me otherwise.
Not to worry, next time hopefully.
