Got it on eMusic the other day. Enjoying its Jayhawks-y, Teenage Fanclub-y power pop elements.
Yeah...
... I'm enjoying listening to it and trying to spot the influences.
Not as good
It's nowhere near as good as all their other stuff. The two long tracks are dire but the rest is quite good. I've marked it down as a disappointment.
Bought it on Emusic
and have been left wondering slightly what the fuss is about.
So did I
I got it from Emusic too but I started with the earlier stuff which I think is uniformly fabulous so I'm willing to give the new one a chance. Their London date coincides with the peerless Fountains of Wayne so I'll miss them live yet again but I'm not too fussed about that now.
