For that sort of money, I think I'd want a Les Paul thrown in. Anybody tempted?

As soon as I read your posting
I thought "Genesis Publications".
I am always tempted by what they produce, just never have the readies. Still don't.
For that sort of money
I'd want Jimmy Page to come round my house and read it to me.
"Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin...
It was the 1970s. We were fishing from a hotel window in Seattle. We caught a really big fish. And then, by magic, a groupie knocked at the door..."
Surely 666 of your British pounds...
would have been a more apt price?
Or he could have done a Radiohead... "Pay what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."
In which case those four famous symbols on the front cover
could have stood for the notional price?

Unless they're a rather fancy version of asterisks - substitute for a swear word of choice as comment on the price.
I, Me, Mine
I recall the first edition of The Quiet One's autobiog cost something in that range. And that was about 25 years ago.
He's going to sign all 2,500 copies as well. That's a lot of signing. I can imagine the first few will have something legible, until it becomes little more than a scrawl about which people can say "Well that looks like it could be a J....." until copy 2,500 which will have a magnificently inscribed signature as in relief he is able to throw his quill down and wonder why he ever embarked on a course of such foolishness.
let's face it
he's not going to tell us anything we don't know or confirm any of the more juicy rumours. From the preview in last weeks Sunday Times the photos look nice thou
Never mind the book
I was more shocked by the 'Recommended videos' on that NME page. You'll go blind, kids!
For that sort of money
I think I'd want a John Paul Jones thrown in
