George Carlin - Modern Man

The latest "In The Groove - Jazz and Beyond" podcast is a tribute to George Carlin, who died on 22nd June. I'd never heard any of his stuff before, but after hearing this, which leads off the podcast, I think I'll be looking for more. Now that's what I call a rap!

Brilliant...

I'd never heard of him before... thanks for showing this.

If this whets anyone's appetite...

...I've just discovered that eMusic have loads of his albums. So that's my next month's 90 downloads taken care of!

Carlin was most excellent, dudes

seeing as he was Rufus in 'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure'. He was also in Kevin Smith's 'Dogma' as a horny trucker, but the stand up is where it's at.

Can I recommend 'Class Clown' of his early (well, earlish works) and 'Life's Worth Living' from his later stuff.
