Anybody else found the new series to be really annoying? I enjoyed the first two series but felt the series was running out of puff by the Christmas special.
This new series is just....irritating.
Apparently, I'm not the only one

These ratings
are still the highest G and S has ever got, short of the special that went out on Christmas Eve. Have a look at where it started out of BBC3. 500,000 was commonplace. It's doing well.
As far as my opinion goes, I agree with you. The characters are stuckin a loop. Hopefully something will happen to break that loop before the show ends.
I'm enjoying it
I'm a firm fan of Gavin & Stacey, despite finding everything else James Corden has done almost unbearable, and I'm really enjoying series 3.
I don't agree with the popular opinion that sitcoms should bow out after a couple of series, leaving the viewer wanting more. I think they should plough on and on until it gets rubbish, then the audience will vote with their feet.
Sorry, I really dislike it
I know it is well written and all that and Rob Brydon and Stacey are great, but they are the only people I care for in it.
I tried my best and persevered and also try not to be too negative here any more, but I have just never liked it. Couldn't stick it from the get go. James Corden and Ruth Whatycaller's characters just rub me up the wrong way.
BTW: I'm not opening the James Corden thing again here specially if his mother is reading this on a web enabled phone behind a barb wire fence.
I still really like it. Glad
I still really like it. Glad they came back with a third series, the characters, writing and performances are first class. Agree with Torres, James Corden is brilliant in it although I do not have much time for him elsewhere ... loved the Smithy rap last night. I believe this is the final series so at least it will not go whimpering on if there are people getting tired of it. And thought the Xmas special, which was repeated recently, held up much better than the slightly disappointing Office and Extras ones from previous years.
Still enjoying it here too.
Contrived
It is nowhere near as good as the first series but I'm still laughing at it. I think the thing that's wrong with it is that it just feels far too contrived.
I was thinking the same thing
So many of the characters seem to be headed in the direction of self parody. I was worried in the last series when a few of them started cultivating catchphrases. Rob Brydon, and a couple of others, seem to be exceptions. But the feeling I get is of a show that should have finished by now.
I concede the landfill indie
I concede the landfill indie soundtrack is a bit tedious!
they lost me at "what's occurring"
the crapest catchphrase ever oh and it has Alison Steadman in it who's been gurning and chewing the scenery since on tv and the big screen since early 70's.
I'm afraid
I've always been bemused by it's popularity. Bit crap isn't it??
blimey Eddie
I'm in the odd position of agreeing with one of your trenchant opinions. Should I be worried? :-)
It's a small
but loving coterie.
