Friday night jingle jangle
Posted by niallb on 7 January 2011 - 6:47pm.
Its been ages since I posted a Friday night jingle jangle (don't ask) so here's the band that have been almost constantly on my ipod these past few weeks. Celebrate 2 men in their 50th years who have made my life just a tiny bit better over the last 25 years. Ladles and gentlespoons I give you Kurt and Sammy - BoDeans.

More Jingle Jangle
Brilliant.
Thanks
Jangle pop doesn't get much better. Can't help thinking The Stands were aiming for Rubber Soul meets the first two Byrds albums and they nailed it perfectly here. Sweet video too.
Early '90s jingle jangle...
Loved this band's first album back in 1990 before they sank without a trace...
Recall a comment from Mr H in an ancient podcast about how any band which sounds like their guitarist spent too much of their youths listening to Byrds albums ever really make it big. I remember thinking - "Well that explains River City People and the Railway Children then."
Fond memories...
... of the Railway Children. Saw them in Birmingham in 1990 during my first year at Brum Poly. A friend who worked in a record shop got me into their aftershow party at the Holiday Inn. Free buffet and drinks at Virgin Records expense plus Gary Newby was gladly signing and handing out copies of their new single 'Music Stop'. Needless to say I filled my boots. Excellent gig too I might add.
