I remember watching that

at the time...I saw them live around this time too at Dingwalls, with a cracking version of Sweet Jane.

When this was on I was living at home and I watched this with my mum, a big country fan, so she quite liked it. Maria McKee will always be known to me in my mind though as the girl with a voice like a bell, because that's how my mum described her.

At the risk of sounding like a Morrisssey song title-

Why do people find agreeing with me so disagreeable?

Tell me...

Did I introduce that?

Indeed it is ace

But I have to ask....

Is it Grack? Or Grace?

We need to know. These things are important.

That's all.

Brilliant clip

I started working in a record shop around this time and the manager played this first album non-stop. I've been keeping up with Maria Mckee's work ever since. Love all the early stuff for the rawness but my favourite is definitely Life Is Sweet, her 3rd solo album. An angry but brilliant record that sold about 5 copies at the time.
