It seems you were right.

I seem to recall Hepworth talking on a Podcast about how the BBC has a tendency to get star struck. Maybe they will be less so in the future.

Obviously not news

Despite the amount of coverage the BBC News site likes to give to the BBC I'm struggling to find this reported. How odd!

Third story on the UK front page as I write this. Admittedly the Beeb were a bit slow getting it up. Ooh, and indeed er, missus.

Xmastime

Do the same rules apply regarding the recent over-exposure of David Tennant???

No product as such to promote, but bloody annoying anyway...

Took their time

The amount of coverage they gave them was sickening. And when you look at the poor album sales for "No Tunes on the Horizon" it seems the public thought so too.

I only object to it...

... because it's U2. To be honest, if it had been an artist I liked or admired, I probably wouldn't have had an issue with it - but it did seem like overkill.
