Either way, as great as this album is, i don't think it necessarily the one to convert the masses to the causes of Britain's best band. I'm still waiting for their 'Rumours'.

But i do get the feeling they could right a power pop masterpiece but their too bloody minded to do it.

....but I just don't get them. I can spot a Field Music track almost instantly due to its idiosyncratic sound, but I've not heard anything yet that's reeled me in.

They may be musical geniuses for all I know, but I just find their style annoying (at the moment).
