Have just been recommended the above by my brother, and been blown away. For anyone who likes Bjork/Kate Bush/Bat For Lashes.
Fever Ray:
The Knife:
Never heard of them before, but apparently The Knife are one the most successful pop bands in Sweden.

Stick some weird vocals on this...sound familiar?
You may like Under Byen from Denmark too
The original Heartbeats
Though we all know Jose Gonzalez's 'Heartbeats' from that Sony ad a few years ago, The Knife wrote it and their version is superb:
i think i prefer that version ... a lot.
look the video has a hill and some coloured balls ...
If you get the chance
Pick up the reissue of Silent Shout with the Live CD and the DVD of their videos and the concert in Gothenburg (I think). They have a very unsettling video sense which really works well with their music.
Bought
the Fever Ray album on the strength of the 5-star album of the year review in the Guardian. Superb - bought Silent Shout on the back of that - slightly more conventional and accessible, but nevertheless excellent too.
I´ve been thinking
I´ve been thinking of how Karin´s voice sounds to someone from England/America. Does the accent sound weird, just silly or exotic? She really stretches the words, kind of like Björk.
The Knife are quite big in Sweden, more so with critics (really big, six grammies in 2007 for Silent Shout) and the in-crowd than the...well, mor people. But this goes without saying, I guess. They don´t sound like Bon Jovi.
The Knife have made four albums, Karin has now made one album as Fever Ray and she used to be in a band/be a band called Honey Is Cool during the latter half of the nineties.
The Knife
...are well represented on Spotify - the one called Deeper Cuts is awesome. I love their mix of 80s-ish electro, quirky Bjork-ness and a really dark sense to the lyrics...
