Festival Credit Crunch - 2 Hop Farm Tickets for £10

itf's picture

In the first of what I imagine might be a few offers that look 'a bit desperate', you can get 2 tickets for Hop Farm festival (feat. Mr P Weller) for just 10 of your earth pounds, as they're bundling them free with a waterproof anorak.

Original retail price of around £200 for the pair. Ouch.

Aside : go see the Joy Formidable if you go, they're excellent.

Arena Bargains

Already lots of offers on events at NIA in Brum.
For this Friday's Once In A Lifetime - Motown Legends gig, tickets are £60 for 4, a reduction of about 50%.
Years ago this type of tour would have struggled to fill a theatre, but greed and overambition have pushed it into arenas, where in the current climate it's a dead dog.

Same countrywide

In the last few weeks there's been half price tickets for everything from Boyzone and Anastasia to Cirque Du Soleil.

Blue Man Group

MEN Arena - 4 tickets for the price of 1 a month or so back.

Nothing new in that though. I once worked on an arena gig by the superstar...er, Jimmy Nail, where we had to "paper" the event i.e. give away tickets and fill the place. Bloody impossible task to do 2 days before it happened. Would you want to change your hair-washing day for that global-mega-tosspot?

My personal favourite

Is competitions offering 'a pair of tickets' where everyone wins...

The credit crunch

does not appear to have affected ticket prices in Dublin. Fleetwood Mac in the O2 in October, top price €126.00 plus booking charge. Frankly at that price I'd be expecting Stevie Nicks to blow cocaine up MY arse during the interval.

Actually you don't think ... perhaps ... just maybe, erm ... I'll take two please ... :-)

Hop Farm festival supporting Charity for Teenage Cancer Trust

The Hop Farm festival is giving 2 weekend tickets if you buy a rail coat costing less than £10 as a charitable support, all the profits through the M&M website go to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Apparently everybody is buying the splashmac!!! they're selling very well!

I find it a beautiful gesture and think that all the festivals, music businessmen, and people with money should do the same.

All the members, teenagers and families thank you so much for your generosity.

Thanks Hop farm.
