Feelgood, Hinge.........and Bracket

Tommy Grant's picture

Having located Dr. Feelgood's 'Roxette' on YouTube I was rather surprised to see Messers Hepworth and Ellen doing an intro. I was even more amused to read the posts that were attached to the video. "Hinge and Bracket". "2 poofs". Must make them yearn for the old letters' pages.

Dr Feelgood...

music with 0% fat. Superb. Wilco is one of the greats.

This...

...is from the first Old Grey Whistle Test DVD. Great performance it is, too- I remember taping the other one they played at this session called 'She Does It Right' from UK Gold about 10 years ago and really being baffled by Wilko Johnson!

Tight as a gnat's chuff...

Just how great were the Feelgoods?

Still are...

...and still touring as heavily as ever! Saw them in January, with Wilko in support. Robert Kane, Lee Brilleux's successor, fits in brilliantly. What is it with Canvey Island that has produced so many top musicians over the years?

I saw the Feelgoods

at the London Beer Festival last year - what a great combination! I agree that Robert Kane was pretty good but he sounded more like a Geordie to me than a product of Canvey.

Ah, yeah... It does read

Ah, yeah... It does read like that (Kane is from Sunderland, I think). The Canvey comment was in relation to Feelgood as a whole and the likes of Eddie and the Hotrods and Micky Jupp.
