Fantasy Festival line-up
Posted by lit doof on 18 June 2010 - 9:05am.
Now that the summer season is upon us, and a couple of festivals (IoW and Download) have blazed the trail for events to come, it got me thinking about my fantasy, one stage, one day line-up (in the good ol' tradition of the Donington Monsters of Rock of yore). Of bands who could conceivably perform today (albeit needing to reform in some instances), mine goes a little something like this:
11am - Mansun
12.30pm - Goldfrapp
2pm - XTC
3.30pm - Sigur Ros
5pm - Massive Attack
6.45pm - Nine Inch Nails
8.20pm - Radiohead
Anyone care to divulge?

That's one hell of a wake up call at 6.45pm lit doof:-)
They would all play sets chosen by me,
and if necessary they would have to go back in time to a classic period ie; Talking Heads would be from the Stop Making Sense period, Fleetwood Mac from the Rumours era [but they could still play songs from later eras - cos I say so]
The whole thing would start at dusk and continue for as long as it takes, and the event would be compared by Adam & Joe who would also entertain the crowd for as long as it took to change sets [which would only take as long as I needed to go to the toilet etc - it's a time travel thing, don't worry about it]
Here we go!
Field Music
The National [the first two acts are chosen as they are my current obsessions who I've not yet seen live]
