Faces - Maybe I'm Amazed

smithylad's picture

I love McCartney's original Maybe I'm Amazed, but this is also excellent:

(ps McCartney's Original - shouldn't that be some sort of boiled sweet?)

Brilliant, and also cast iron proof...

...of why the 'Faces' reunion announced this week without Plonk or Rod involved is an utter waste of time.

They really were a cracking band weren't they..

Maybe I'm less than amazed...

Rumours of a "Faces Reunion" surface every time McLagan has product to promote.

This time it's at a benefit at the Royal Albert Hall for PRS.

The last time one of these happened was at the Ronnie Lane Tribute Concert back in April 2004 (again at the RAH) - only Mac didn't bother to turn up. Ronnie Wood, Kenney Jones, Pete Townshend, Paul Weller, Midge Ure did as did the rest of Slim Chance. Rod was touring the US but sent a message as did Macca and Clapton. It was a great night.

Mac has been touring with the wonderful James McMurtry, as a member of the Heartless Bastards. They're over again early next month but not sure if he's with them this time. He still managed to shoehorn a couple of Faces songs into McMurtry's set last year. Talk about living on past glories!
