that owner of Number 2 perm and superb handlebar moustache, prominently featured out front, alongside Mr Lynn, is of course, non other than Kelly Groucutt. Sadly passed away in February this year.

I remember...
...the first time I saw it. I LOVED ELO. Still do.
saw ELO
On the Third Day tour Glasgow Apollo with support from the Raymond Froggat Band, dunno what was meringue but it was a well dull evening. My mate and I went early to catch the support because we read in the Evening Times that he had a guitarist who played an 18 string guitar. It never dawned on us it might be the staple of Country Music ie. a Steel/Lap Guitar. We were Progressive, give me and my mate (back then) a break.
My one big gig-going regret....
Is that I never saw ELO live in their prime - spaceship stage and all.
Saw ELO Part II a number of years ago. Groucutt (on bass and lead vocals), Bevan, Kaminski, Gale, McDowell plus a couple of others. What a fantastic night out - about a thousand folks in the audience singing their hearts out and basically having a great time.
