Dr. Emile Koning

Just been reading The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy again on the Kindle and started to muse on how great it would have been if the Pythons had been the ones to adapt it for screen. A quick wiki search and - hey presto!
Little did I know of Douglas Adams' direct involvement with Python as one of only two non-Pythons ever credited with writing for them (the other being Neil Innes) and a starring role in episode 42 as the aforementioned Dr. Emile Koning.
So which Pythons would you have playing the main characters?
I think Chapman has to be the shoe-in for Arthur Dent.

I love Chapman. I think it's
I love Chapman. I think it's very interesting that although he never found an identity or creative outlet outside of Python, he was still the leading man in Holy Grail & Life of Brian, and carried the movies.
GC did a one off tv show in 1975 called Out of the Trees which never progressed to a full series but which was written with Adams and Bernard McKenna. It featured future Hitchiker people Simon Jones and Mark Wing-Davey and featured a sketch where the earth blew up.

Beeblebrox has to be Cleese, surely?
And Ford Prefect would have to be Palin, while Terry Jones at his manic best would make a great Vorgon Captain...
Carol Cleveland as Trillion…
… or maybe Connie Booth?
Max Quordlepleen
must surely have been intended as a Michael Palin homage.
