Download Bargains

Leedsboy's picture

Picking up from Paul's post below on the Motown singles downloads on the Word Downloads, it occurs to me that there are some absolute bargain downloads - particularly around box sets and compilations.

iTunes has the Miles Davis Complete Columbia Studio Recordings for £6.99. There is also the Citizen Steely Dan box set at £7.99 on iTunes as well. Both are great places for the uninitiated to start a pretty risk free, low cost jump into the works of each artist.

Interested if there are other artists where similar collections can be had for a fraction of the CD price (particularly now that iTunes are mostly DRM free and higher quality).

Citizen Steely Dan

..for the uninitiated, this is the box set of all the Steely Dan albums up to the '90s. i.e. all the classics are on this. I bought it years ago for £35 and thought it was a steal. I envy anyone who can now pick this up for £7.99. Run, don't walk to iTunes etc.

HMV Tokens

I went on a bit of a spree with my HMV tokens at the weekend. Among the bargains I got hold of was Motown Chartbusters vols 4-6 in a sleeve for a fiver.
