Does anybody really care what rock stars really think?

It's certainly a middle aged thing but who really gives a toss what rock stars think about anything? These days I am more likely to ignore a publication on the newsstand if it has a front cover depicting Slash or that bloke from Oasis who sticks two fingers up to everybody. What have they got to say that will be remotely interesting? Or is it just me becoming an old curmudgeon?

It's unfortunate that you
It's unfortunate that you mention Slash and Liam Gallagher because in the last fortnight, two f the best things I've read have been the extract from Slash's autobiography in 'OMM' and 'Mojo's piece on Liam. Of course, fundamentally, I don't care what they think, but I have to confess to a smidgen of curiosity about the workings of their lives.
I don't narrow it down to
I don't narrow it down to rock stars.
I don't want know to what any celebrity anywhere thinks about anything ever.
Actually
Liam Gallagher's normally worth a read in a Loony Tunes way.
It's Saint Bono that give's me the raging hump. He's gone from Tarzan of Rock - 'clambering and chest beating' to Mother Theresa - 'chin stroking and nose poking'
Like Nick Cohn said almost 40 years ago rock stars are great when they stomp - but a pain in the arse when they're being profound.
