It was somthing like..

..Nicholas Van Strooten, or something. He was a property developer and landlord, and also a bit of a gangster. I think he's dead now.

I liked the title

"self styled emissary of Beelzebub" Although reading on I think The Earl of Hell would call him sir!

Not a nice man

Was basically a slum landlord in Brighton and employed some of the area's more notorious "Chaps" to collect rent and for protection.
Famous for throwing a hand grenade into a Synagogue and removing the staircase from an old lady's first floor flat.
Only saw him once and he wasn't very tall. Not known for his sense of Humour.
He lived next door to my Dentist. All villans together eh !

Not a nice man (slight return)

In 2002 he was sentenced to 10 years for the manslaughter of a business rival. The verdict was overturned on appeal but in 2005 he was ordered to pay the victim's family £6 million in a civil case

He also does a lot of business with the Zimbabwe government.
