Do your downloads transfer in wrong the order

peterafifer's picture

Thanks to the tip off the other day, I've been grabbing some bargains over on mflow. When I try to transfer the albums I've downloaded into itunes, it puts them in the wrong order. I've tried fixing it in a variety of ways by going in through Get Info and modifying the track numbers but it doesn't sort it for me. The only way I've managed to fix it it to put the tracks into a playlist in the right order, burn to a disc, delete the originals and then reimport from the disc. Labour saving eh? I know I'm a numpty, but am I doing anything obviously stupid?

Columns

What column do you have selected for sorting and which direction do you have it sorting in? Clicking on the column triangle toggles the order..if you get my meaning.

I've not had any problems like this with mflow tracks

so I would say that if it's happened with every album you've purchased from them then it must be something wrong at your end. The post above is a good place to start.

I don't believe there's any

I don't believe there's any remerdy to this other than to copy the tracks over individually in order, which is at least quicker than what you're doing.

No problem here

As suggested by milesc I just dropped them into itunes and then clicked on either album title or artist and they rearranged themselves.

Incidentally, I spent a fortune on mflow but had a few issues where I seemed to lose some credit. They looked into it for me and a server issue at their end had caused some tracks to be purchased several times (including one Joan as Policewoman track which was purchased 29 times - a tad excessive). They identified the problem, credited me back and even added more credit when they got the original adjustment wrong!

All in all top quality service.
