Do You Make Your Own Films For Fun??? And How Do You Do it??
Posted by Tony Donaghey on 25 October 2009 - 1:32pm.
Discovered the Windows Movie Maker and have used it to make a couple of slide shows to illustrate some songs (I'm sad like that) but is there a way of capturing You Tube vidoes and editing them? Movie Maker accepts videos but short of turning into an actual fimmaker I want to start small.

youtube downloader
I can help on the first part this is a good free programme. There is bound to be better qualified advice for the second part of you dilemma.

www.idesktop.tv also does the trick...
... is also free and allows you to download in the format of your choice. I think they also source clips from other video sites apart from YouTube.
I'll have a go...
..at both of them cheers.
This One Worked...
..able to borrow a vid from YT and add some music - not great picture quality though - will have to play - cheers.
don't bother
with other peoples images if you've got a digital camera you can make your own. The simplest of tripods (4 quid at maplin) will help, just keep the camera still and let stuff move through the frame.
Nicking people's music is one thing but by the times you've downloaded Youtube clips the quality will be poor. Youtube's not high quality to start with.
here's one me and my Bro's family made I think using my phone!
and here's some more I made earlier.

The Music I've Used Is By Some Friends...
...this one a basic slide show of Kevin Coyne's paintings he did for the Burning Head CD.
And this one - done by pointing the camera at the computer whilst playing a friends song on the ipod - to give them an idea of what could be done,
But I suppose you're right it might be better to do my own images.
