Digital Glastonbury this year?

Handsome.P.Wonderful's picture

I know a small contingent from Word HQ are off to Glastonbury very shortly, but will those of us that are comfortably ensconced in front of the telly have the opportunity to contribute through a repeat of last year's 'Digital Glastonbury'? It was quite jolly, if I remember rightly.

Count me in

It was a lot of fun last year.

Count me out

I'll be attending my first Glastonbury since last century.

I suspect this is the year of the Twitter commentary

From Glastonbury, phone signal permitting. Is Mr H going?

Mr H

Will be hosting the digital version, AFAIK.

I think the BBC iplayer will come up trumps here

if this year's Radio 1 Big Weekend is anything to go by. It was on in may and for days after they had seperate links on the player in 30,45 and 60 minute chunks of each band. No inbetween song banter from Lauren Laverne et al just the bands doing their thing in full.
I hope that's how it pans out anyways.

Looking forward to the digital version. The real version's weather's looking 'changeable' by all accounts.

The younger Dakota brother...

... will be at the real Glastonbury, so I'll be making a bee-line for the digital version.

See you there...

Do I need

my wellies? Extra toilet roll? Fridge stocked with beer by the side of computer desk?

The Guardian has produced a guide for those making festival tv

All 18 points are good, but this struck me as particularly 'Word':

2) Pair up two presenters with no natural chemistry or common conversational ground, so that you can capture that look of mild panic on Fearne Cotton's face every time another Mark Radcliffe anecdote sails right over her head.
