desperatley seeking the slingbacks

can anyone help shead some light on a mid 90's band called the slingbacks. I've searched the web, but the thing i found where CD's on amazon [which i bought]
the songs are credited to shireen laine, so i assume she was the lead singer,songs included 'all pop, no star' [also the name of an album] and 'the boy who...'
just thought someone might be able to piont me in the right direction.

Is this the Headcoats/Billy Childish-related Slingbacks? Babz was one of the singers, went on to The Diaboliks, think Liam Watson, now esteemed producer of The White Stripes and all, was in there too. (Ah, those were the days etc.) Think your best bet is Vinyl Japan or Damaged Goods websites, or anything related to Childish.

...I know Shireen and she can been currently found in the lumiere brothers (myspace.com/lumierebrothers) or at her studio (myspace.com/houseoftherisingbadger) The last time I looked there was some Slingbacks footage on Youtube as well. Hope this helps.
