good looking programme on BBC4 now. I'm taping it in a retro style.
I can't wait for the
Danny Wilson doco. I'll be taping that one for sure.
I hear there's an episode coming up concentrating on the life
and career of the 1970's Arsenal goalkeeper.
This pisses me off
It appears Sweden is not a part of GB and thus I can´t watch this. One hour of Dennis, and I´m stuck with Smålandsnytt.
Not to worry Ola...
it's on thebox.bz already.

I need an invitation to be able to log in
But I still appreciate your consideration.
Let me know if no-one else sends you an invitation
and I'll happily oblige
Don't worry Stimps,
a DVD is winging its way in a Scandinavian direction as I type.
Vulpes Vulpes - the man so kind the named him twice
But don´t you feel Stimpy should still be allowed to send an invitation? Who are we to argue? I´m sure there will be more cases of me missing something.
Can´t wait for that DVD to arrive! I have always found Dennis one of the major lost opportunities in rock music. Not as a drummer, but as a singer, songwriter and arranger. Pacific Ocean Blue is such a beautiful album. Don´t do drugs, kids. At least not that much.
Thebox invite
Ola,
Send me a private message and I'll mail you an invite.
My god he looked rough...
towards the end of his life.

The BBC4 music docs are always a luxurious treat, hope they can still find some cash behind the Wossy's old leather sofa and make some more.
Observations: (*Spoiler Alert*)
I never knew DW wrote "You Are So Beautiful" with Billy Preston.
The doc was great but very much from the affectionate perspective of his mates and old drinking buddies. None of the many women in his life were interviewed (not clear whether they were asked).
It was a shame that, of the surviving Kokomo Hitmakers, only David Marks had a window in his diary to say anything, although he did paint a wonderful picture of the early days. At least we were mostly spared Brian Wilson's monosyllabic interview "technique".
Essentially this was the 'Pacific Ocean Blue' story and rightly so since the Beach Boys history has been 'done'. Must dig this out for a spin later, a great re-issue job beautifully packaged.
I forgot he'd sung on quite a few the early tracks, like this overlooked gem from 'Beach Boys Today', obviously a Brian track but great vocal by DW:
My Sky Plus Box Failed last night......
......and didnt record it..........and it doesnt appear to be repeated over the weekend. Turned the living room air blue when I checked it just now. It recorded bloody Johnathan Ross and The Hotel California episode which i've already seen several times (but fancied another view,) but not bloody Dennis Wilson.
Not happy :o(
It's on iPlayer
for a while longer though; it'll be there until next Friday night.
