Delia Derbyshire

I know sampling wasn't new but some of her tunes wouldn't be out of place today.

Great stuff, thanks for

Great stuff, thanks for that. There was a very good BBC radio drama about the last years of her life and I can't remember the title or when it was broadcast. Anyone any ideas and where I could, ahem, 'listen' to a copy? I am outside the UK so no iplayer for me i'm afraid.

Truly Wonderful

Such a shame she never achieved much recognition by the BBC for her work until after she died, even her part in arranging the Dr Who theme wasn't acknowledged by the Beeb.

From Wikipedia;

"Grainer was amazed at the resulting piece of music and when he heard it, famously asked, "Did I write that?". Derbyshire modestly replied "Most of it". Unfortunately, the BBC—who wanted to keep members of the Workshop anonymous—prevented Grainer from getting Derbyshire a co-composer credit and a share of the royalties."
