death and taxes, a blatant plug to get a mention on the word podcast
Since we can't avoid the inevitable, we can at least choose our last tune.
What would you choose to have played at your fueneral?
personally I'd have to go for Topm Waits-anywhere i lay my head,
as i makes ME cry,
OR Dire Strait's Telegraph Road- as it's nearly 12 mins long. Give people time to think!

I'd...
I'd love to request something really innapropriate and naff like My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion or Back for Good by Take That, but I wouldn't be around to enjoy the joke so I guess it would be wasted.
So I'de have Sandy Denny's finest moment, Who Knows Where the Time Goes, or La Cienega Just Smiled by Ryan Adams because that would really set the waterworks going.
nice choice with the ryan
nice choice with the ryan adams,
'neither of you really help me to sleep anymore, one breaks my body and the other breaks me soul!
Willin'
Willin' by Little Feat - the live version, off "Waiting for Columbus".
Not blowing my own trumpet but...
...did this one a while back:

Glad to see I'm not the only morbid one around here.
Been there too ...
Back in December, just to get the right atmosphere for dealing with Christmas and New Year, I did this one:
http://www.wordmagazine.co.uk/content/playlist-my-cremation
my cremation
would feature Firestarter or Light My Fire naturally.
Otherwise I'd like Stars Go Blue by Ryan Adams or Mourners of St Paul's by Liam Frost (tho that is a tad literal.) I''ll have Give Me Sunshine as the massed ranks (of course) of the congregation files out
How about
'One Less Bitch' by NWA?
4 to go
Queen - Another 1 Bites the Dust
Elvis - Burning Love
The Platters (for example, but there are many versions of course)- Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
Them - Baby Please Don't Go
