Cracking Start To The Show So Far
Top stuff.
As I've just tweeted (it's all new for me)
Janelle Monae: Proper pop star.
Another tweeter
Welcome to the land of relentless innuendo and brief apercus. What's your twitter name (Twame? Twandle?). (@Rosbif65)
Ahem
I'm enjoying Twitter, but rather aware that I have so few followers, I'm rather chirping merrily to myself (as usual).
(I'm at @Jo_dB)
Consider youself
followed.
Cee Lo Green's suit!
Nearly as big and bold as his voice, superb stuff.
Oh dear, the Ed Miliband
Steve Miller Band joke again, this time from Jools. It was on the News Quiz last week as well, according to the GLW. Will it never die?
Variation on a theme
My colleague has been saying 'Glenn Miller Band' for the last fortnight. Mainly because he's not heard of the Steve Miller Band.
Amazing line-up.
Wasn't that familiar with some of them but everyone stepped up to the plate. Found myself being quite moved by Cee Lo's voice. Never heard Jim Jones before but they rocked. SMB - as you'd expect. Janelle - as JoLean said, proper pop star. C W Stoneking - didn't listen closely enough to the podcast, very enjoyable.
Best Later I've seen in a long while - real talent on that stage.
CW Stoneking
That lad is a star!
I think he's squatting
at the Word Offices he was across the road on sunday afternoon.
a very lack lustre show
I.M.O
oooh
you're a hard man to please.
Thought Cee Lo, Steve Miller and CW Stoneking were great, and no one worse than pretty good. I liked.
hmm
cee-lo chose the wrong song.
Steve Miller the worst kind of tidy beard and bandana budlite advert blues rock.
CW Stoneking seemed a bit flat.
quite liked Duanne Eddy calling Jarvis Cocker "jason "(and definitley want to hear him and Richard Hawley new stuff)
Hell of a lineup
AND Duane frickin' Eddy.
Whenever...
...the name CW Stoneking appears on the screen, I invariably think it says "stonking".
Sub-editors take note, here's a top tip for a review header:
"Stoneking stages stonking show"
Or, if it was a poor performance, simply substitute "stonking" with "stinking"
