Occasionally I am asked to re-mix music.Usually what happens is that I tear apart & start again often adding elements that were not present at the outset. So I've begun to describe myself as an interpreter rather than a re-mixer.I'm quite sure that this term is going to catch on, so I'd like you all to bear witness to where you heard the term first and from whom.
Thank-you.

The Aphex Twin
During the early 90s it was seemingly compulsory to have a remix version of everything no matter how un-danceable. Famously, Aphex Twin had forgotten to do a remix of a new Lemonheads single until a motorbike courier turned up at his flat waiting to ferry the completed tapes to the record label for pressing. While the bike revved outside, 'ver Twin simply rifled through a box of DAT tapes, found one of one of his own unreleased tracks and stuffed it in a jiffy bag. The track was released as a Lemonheads remix and nobody was any the wiser!
You couldn't point us
Towards the said release by any chance? Great story.
