Copyright warning...

itf's picture

This copyright warning appears on around the edge David Ford's new EP...

"Ignore those whiney little bastards who complain about illegal copying of music. Hell, since radio went to shit, how else do you get heard? So be my guest, copy and share this music."

On a similar note, I spotted that Ani DiFranco's records say
"Unauthorised copying, while sometimes necessary, is never as good as the real thing"

Nice to see some artists who understand that sometimes it works in their favour...

Come on then.

Post the bloody thing.

I don't begrudge artists and record companies getting uptight about people copying their music - it can have its benefits, in that it brings it to a wider audience, but equally it's now easier than ever to obtain perfect digital copies of stuff if you know where to look. And in many people's eyes, why would you bother to buy something when you can get it for free?

That said, if some artists are happy for their music to be copied / shared etc. then good luck to them.
