Come To Our Gig!
Posted by The Word on 8 March 2010 - 4:11pm.
Just in case your remote Scottish croft has had no electricity for the last few weeks and you missed the announcement, this is a reminder that our first gig, A Word In Your Ear, takes place on April 28th.
Headliners are Pugwash, led by Duckworth Lewis Method's Thomas Walsh (playing the band's first ever English show), alongside support acts Duncan Maitland and High Wycombe pop sensations The Wutars. Kate Mossman will be at the wheels of steel and your MCs for the evening will be Mark Ellen and David Hepworth. The venue is The Lexington in London's swinging Islington section. In fact it's the pub across the road from the office. Tickets are £10 and you can order yours now here.

Anyone want to meet up?
I'd love to go to this, but Mr Hannah will be babysitting and I don't really want to go gigging on my own.
So which friendly Massive faces are going to be there?
Hi Hannah
Looks like I wont be able to attend the next massive meet up as I'll be in a 1930's gypsy caravan on the South Downs. I have bought a ticket for this gig though - look forward to seeing you and other massive regulars down there.
Hello
I'll be in attendance. Sorry about that...
I'm going...
... can't make the London blogger drinks this time round, so I'm going to this. I might be a bit late though, Wednesday is usually a working late day... But I will go. The Pugwash I've heard I've liked and the chance of seeing the Hepworth and Ellen show live definately appeals...
Scottish croft
I send my apologies because my remote Scottish croft is just that. Remote. Remote from your smelly city.
Only two hours on the train
...from Manchester Piccadilly and its been years since I've done a London trip for a gig. The chance of seeing the mighty Pugwash introduced by Mark Ellen and David Hepworth warning us about the 'Brown Acid' is too good to pass up.
I might not have a plus one with me either, so would be great to meet some of the Southern Chapter of the Massive. Perhaps a system of Usernames on badges should be enforced so I can identify members and not accidentally try and engage an unsuspecting young Islingtonite (or perhaps Mitch Winehouse), in a conversation about mid-period XTC.
I cannot wait to see all you guys.....
.....we'll have a blast!! And thanks to everyone who are making the trip be it short or long to the gig, I'm honoured.

Sounds like it'll be a wonderful evening
but it's a long way from Sydney so I won't be there.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able
to make any of the meets thus far but I have an e-ticket for Mssrs Walsh et al fidgeting away on my PC. Looking forward to it.
I'm in.
I'll be there with some chums...
...but am thinking of coming to the next London Chapter Massive meet-up (subject to FPO approval - business case submitted), so it would be good to spot some faces.
I will be
wearing a face.
I'll be there
with my knapsack spare..
