Come Fly With Me
Over the weekend I was luck enough to fly to Edinburgh. This was my first flight for a few years, and the first since i've had a iPod, and I looked forward to having the huge majority of stuff in own to listen to on the flight.
However, I found that seemingly some music goes well in flight, and some just doesn't feel right. Much loved Seasick Steve, and the Black Diamond Heavies just don't go, in fact most Blues just seemed to be too rooted in the earth to feel right.
And this is not some kind of pun based thing where Tom Petty's Learing to Fly works [although it does] in fact twangy MOR seems to fair pretty well, as did Rap,Dizzy Rascal, Kanye West, Ice Cube solo, but not Ice-T or NWA, Ryan Adams-NO Beth Orton-Yes.
Chuck Berry -Yes, Carl Perkins-NO
I'm sure this is in no way scientific, but has anyone else experianced this.

Do you have a dog? I was musing over your name and thought Bowser might make a very good name for your dog.
iPod choices whilst flying
I was at Madrid airport in January when they had the first snow for many years and subsequent flight delays/cancellations. I wasn't able to get to my final destination (Peru) so chose to fly home on the following night.
Looking for some light relief from a wasted weekend (not in the John Lennon sense!) I decided to search through the iPod for some tunes to listen to during the flight home. Inevitably I focused on the places we flew over and our final destintation of London.
I played many tunes including the following flight related songs:
1. This Flight Tonight - Joni Mitchell and Nazareth versions
2. Fly Me To The Moon - Frank Sinatra
3. I'm Mandy Fly Me - 10cc
4. Paris By Air - Tygers of Pang Tang (bet they have never been mentioned in a Word blog before!)
5. 747 Strangers In The Night - Saxon
6. London Calling - The Clash
We landed safely and I was happy.
Free Falling
Tom Petty - not good probably
Rainbow in Curved Air - Terry christian
Airport - Thr Motors
Leaving on a Jet Palne - Paul an Linda
That Learing to Fly
Sounds a right load of nonsense.
