Cole's out of England

ranger's picture

What a great opportunity Capello has to drop one of the 'not World Class' celebs.
Ashley Cole.....air rifle.....bye Ashley.....90 caps.....bugger all.....thanks for the great memories.
While Capello's at it, time to get rid of loose-cannon (and shite) Rooney who, forget the over-rated over-head kick, showed exactly what he'll do if England get to Euro 2012.
There's still time, Fabio, don't bottle it.

Unconfirmed Misprinted Reports

Suggest he has been given a "severe dressing gown"

Ranger

You always suggest that England would be better off without Ashley Cole, yet fail to say who you would select in his place...

Based on form this season

Baines would be a shoo-in and should probably be there anyway. He could take the free-kicks too.

But then I'm biased.

But

AC was I thought generally considered to have been our best player at the world cup.

He was

Who else is there? Baines, Warnock, Bridge? All good players, but not a patch on Ashley Cole. The idea that removing the best players from the squad is the answer the England's woes is rather odd, but it's what Ranger always seems to be proposing.

It's because...

... none of them played in the 60s.

Sadly ...

replacing Cole with anyone else would weaken the team.
He may be a total plonker but he is also very good at his job.

So what?

He just wanted to show Torres how to get a shot on target.

I can't

stand Ashley Cole as a person but as a footballer he's been one of the better ones in an England shirt though that isn't really saying much these days.

I think these days I'll only get excited about England playing if Capello starts to build a team around Walcott and Wilshere.
