COD 6; Modern Warfare 2; be afraid, or not really

chabsy's picture

No, it's not the overfishing of that particular fish in the sea – it's 'Modern warfare' part 2 coming your way on every game console IN THE WORLD today. I have a 15 year old boy and the levels of excitement are frightening, and it's not even f*****g Christmas yet. So, you can be a terrorist now? wtf? lol? Well, I'll have a bash on it, just like GTA IV, and be called a 'mug' and a 'muppet' by my dear son, for not taking down enough 'newbs' He's now six foot and a black belt in karate, so I'm not gonna argue. He's not too big for a good hiding though, although I'll get Valuev to do it. (Maybe not) This game was mentioned in Parliamant today; too violent etc. I love Xbox games and I'm 51; but I don't like real warfare, or for that matter, fights in pubs, nor does my son so who cares, dude?

No Multiplayer on Pc

I was looking forward to this new game as the series has been superb. i read a few reviews which have said they the manufacturer has changed the format so that Pc players will no longer have the facilty to play multiplayer online which is my favourite way of playing the game. I await advise from the geeks of the massive.

Update

Sorry it seems that there is a multiplayer option. There are restrictions on how Pc players can operate servers and change the maps etc and generally tweak the game. The geeks on here will be able to explain better than me.

Of course

I am sure you are completely aware that the game is rated 18 by the BBFC and the sale of it with intention of supplying it to anyone under that age is an offence? This is the reason why it was mentioned - and defended - in parliament. It does have extremely adult content and themes and hence it was passed as an 18.

Over 18

Just loading it and the site asks if you are over 13 before registering!
It was kind of strange buying it. I wasn't going to buy it then changed my mind. Went to look for a copy in Sainsburys. Couldn't see an actual copy at the shelf. Went to the dept check out and there was a small que. I asked if there was a copy suitable for PC the guy siad yes so I joined the que. a woman in front of me said she was buying a copy for her son who was very excited about it. when she got to the till the guy said there were no copies left for PS3 but they would be getting another delivery at 6.00pm. When I got to the check out the guy said that they had sold it solid from midnight last night for three hours and that it had continued steadily all day today. i got my copy and walked out to the car. It all reminded me of getting up to que for a copy of 'Young Americans' all those years ago and walking home with the album under my arm trying to show off to everyone that I had a copy. I haven't had that feeling over a records release for an awful long time. Getting tickets for gigs still does it on occasion but it's usually me on my own sitting in front of my Pc - not quite the same is it. At least the kids are having a similar experience but unfortunately it's not music anymore I'm afraid.
