Cocksucker Blues
Posted by IanP on 25 April 2010 - 3:45pm.
Do any of you fine upstanding members of society know where I might 'find' this on the internet or for sale on DVD?
I couldn't get tickets when it was shown in London a few years back, and today's Observer has just reminded me of it.
We're halfway through side two of Exile and the 15-year-old son has yet to be convinced it's the greatest album ever made, through Rocks Off 'rocks' apparently.
Thanks, in advance.

Ebay
I have a very good copy that I bought from ebay years ago, a quick search never brought back any results though. Try the Its only Rock n Roll fansite the message board has a trade/for sale section.
It's easily found on the usual Torrent sites
including the one that wears an eyepatch and a parrot on it's shoulder.
Just looked and there's a full-quality DVD rip being torrented there.
It's not that great really...
spend your money on a copy of Robert Frank's classic photography book The Americans instead.
And see if you can spot the picture
of George Michael. Weirdly spooky.
Indeed...
Its on YouTube
Subsequent parts in side bar. I didn't make it past part 2.
..and it's
..ropey as hell.
Charlie Is My Darling
is much better.
But it ain't no 'Gimme Shelter'.
Spend your money
on a bootleg of the 'Ladies and Gentlemen We Present The Rolling Stones' DVD. It's a concert film of the 1972 tour and far superior to the depressing 'Cocksucker Blues.'
If it's a bootleg, don't spend your money on it
There are other ways to obtain it that don't put money in the hands of nasty people.
EDIT: It appears it won't be a bootleg for long. According to the always reliable Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladies_and_Gentlemen:_The_Rolling_Stones) "On March 18, 2010 a statement on the internet announced that the film will see home release on DVD and Blu - Ray in November 2010." I presume that's why they've included teaser clips on the DVD in the new 'Exile' set.
Oooh...
exciting! Me want now.
it's very good
(you ain't seen me, right?)
Yeah... I bought it off a man in a long coat...
around 20 years ago. Big fat VHS tape. Photocopied cover. Classic.
Ladies And Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones...
...soundtrack available here.
