Lunaman's picture

I was out in Shoreditch East London last night. i went to a cashpoint to get some bees & honey and it asked me if I required instructions in English or cockney! It amused me so I'd like to share....

Awesome!

Where is this? I live on Old St - I simply HAVE to find it!

It's just down by Spitalfields market.

On commercial St walking down from Spitalfield market going east. Passed Brushfield St on the left (just past a multi storey car park)by the E1 bus stop there is an estate agent(Sai Properties) with a cashpoint outside.
Here's the google ref for satelite view - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?rlz=1T4ADFA_enGB366GB367&q=shoreditch&um=1...

Got it

Excellent! I know where that is.

(The Google Map shows me the middle of a lovely field - there's a *rural* Shoreditch - who knew!)

Sorry about the google map ref

I could see it and copied link! Glad you know where it is. It doesn't even charge for dispensing cash.

English & American

I once used the left luggage lockers in Valencia Train Station. The on-screen instructions offered me the choice of various languages, including "English" and "American".

I chose English and was slightly disappointed when the instructions didn't say things like "Now just slip the jolly old bag in the locker old boy and insert 100 pesetas, there's a good chap."
