Clear away the January Blues... with Sunshine Pop!
Posted by man.of.soup on 16 January 2011 - 5:37pm.
I've had a trying week (work and family "issues" which, however tempted I feel, I'll decline to bore you all with)... Also, I hate January. It's a looming ogre of a month, stooping to bite into my well-being and positivity (a meagre bite at the best of times).
Luckily, this exists, and life has suddenly become a little more bearable:

Agree with you
Man of soup - January is awful.
This on the other hand is rather lovely:
The Association... *sigh* :-)
May I prescribe some Emitt?
The Man Rhodes!
I luv you!
The incorrectly titled
Cowsills:

Great shout!
January - sick and tired of it hanging on me
Not exactly summer pop but heard this on Ed Stewpot's Christmas show and it cheered me up
One of the first records I ever owned/bought
The two singles and the album.
Still got them, but haven't listened to them for a long while (honest)
This always cheers me up
Crikey
January's been going on for about 3 months, hasn't it?
I love a bit of the sunshine pop, me.
I don't know if this counts, precisely, but I don't half enjoy mid/late 60's groovy sincerity, expressed in songs.
Sampled often by those crazy hip hop 'mothers' - and good on 'em for it.
how about this then!
In the same vein
and while we're at it..
Here comes summer
Sunshine pop you say?
Watch your sugar levels on this one. They fey-ometer broke...but all is forgiven for the chord change at 0:43.
One of my favourites
