If anyone wants to start on classical music and doesn't have a clue where to begin, you might be interested that Holland's venerable Concertgebouw Orchestra are celebrating 120 years in the business by giving away their performances of 10 key symphonies by the likes of Schubert, Mahler, Beethoven and Sibelius with Radio Four. Stravinsky
It's not free, but it's surely a bargain: Amazon are currently offering a 22-CD box set of Stravinsky's complete works for just £17.99. It looks to be decent recordings, too - most of them made for Columbia by the composer himself.
