Seconded!

the poor guy has been struggling on his legs and with his back for years but there is still no more wondrous sight or sound to these ears than the E St Band in their full glory.
I don't know how many times I've heard Jungleland but to see and hear him play that sax solo live has never been less than a privilege, ofttimes a religious experience!
Get well, fella

He sat down when they played Stockholm 2009

Played the solo to Jungleland like it was made out of gold and recieved the loudest ovation of the evening. Get well, Clarence!

Sad to hear this

and that the last tour was such a struggle for him. Didn't show it for a second. Hearing this blasting across Hyde Park is one of my most precious concert memories

Let's hope the big man doesn't join THAT band just yet...

I remember being flummoxed when I finally realised that low burr all the way through "Born to Run" was Clarence's sax.

Astonishing player. Get well soon Big Man.

Wembley Arena 1981

standing on my seat, first time seeing The E Street Band. During the solo in Jungleland they kick the houselights up as Mighty Max slows down the beat and booms in that big old snare, bouncing off the walls. Bruce is runing from side to side of the stage, arms raised as the crowd shout 'hey' to Max's snare and I'm crying and laughing at the same time with sheer force of nature that is propelling me upwards and I start to jump up and down. And all the time this colossus is blowing his brains out through his mouth and into this golden fountain of noise and passion and sheer exuberance and the spotlight hits the sax and he bounces it back around the walls and I want it to last forever and it comes to and end and the lights go back down and it goes quiet. "Beneath the city two hearts beat..." and I'm still crying with joy and fear and expectation. I've never been so excited before or since. My 55 year old Dad died two weeks later. Clarence Clemons has given more pleasure in my life than I ever thought possible. Hold on Big Man.

This just in

From the usually reliable Backstreets fan site

"MIRACLES ARE HAPPENING"
The latest out of Florida has Clarence Clemons in better condition than anyone expected, a close friend tells Backstreets: "Yesterday, it did not look good at all. Today... miracles are happening. His vital signs are improving. He's responsive. His eyes are welling up when we're talking to him. He was paralyzed on his left side, but now he's squeezing with his left hand. This is the best news we've heard since [the stroke] happened — it's nothing short of miraculous. The next five days will still be critical. But he's a fighter."

Please join us in continuing to send prayers, love, and light to the Big Man.
