Amid all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the journalistic wasteland that supposedly will be an inevitable by-product of the decline in mainstream media, this site offers a timely reminder of what all too many paid, professional journalists actually do, which is copy and paste, basically.

hilariously
to publicize their site, churnalism made up a story about a stocking garter that monitored the wearers vital signs and relayed the information to a remote location. It was designed for suspicious husbands who wanted a warning when their wife was straying. churnalism then watched the"story" take a life of its own as it spread around the world.
