Chuck Prophet

Saw Chuck again last night in Newcastle. As always, a fantastic live show. His band The Mission Express are on top form, and it was a great 2 hour+ set with old classics ,a great selection of covers (including a surf-adelic version of Alex Chiltons Bangkok)and some corking new stuff. As usual, he had some great banter with the audience - what a frontman!
I know there are a few C.P. fans amongst the Massive, but if anyone else gets the chance to see him - take it, you won't regret it.
His new album is a belter too...

Chuck Prophet
Isn't that what you to a misbehaving synthesizer from the Sequential Circuits company?
(It appears the stand is now bereft of coats)
On a tangentially related point, my favourite 'punk name' was that adopted by the drummer with the band Danzig - Chuck Biscuits.
The Garage, Islington
I'm going to see Chuck this Thursday at the above venue. I think the band is the same as the last couple of tours, with the excellent James DePrato sharing the lead guitar parts with Chuck.
I'll also second the recommendation for Let Freedom Ring!
BTW Hot Cider, are you the person who sent a text to Bob Harris last night after the CP gig?
Not guilty....
although I assume it was a favourable one?
Enjoy!
As I recall
brief but favourable.
However I can't imagine Bob would ever read out a text saying "We've just been to see X and they were rubbish".
text to bob harris
I know who did , it was a mate of mine called Phil . He called around yesterday and when he mentioned being to he gig I said it had been mentioned on this blog . He had texted Bob on the way home , small world eh !
Oh yes!
Saw him yonks ago in a Leeds pub, took the Brother-in-law, hugely impressed, ol' Chuck gave it loads. Is Stephanie (easy on the ears and easy on the eyes) Finch still on keys?
Lost track a bit since Homemade Blood - what's he done since?
Public Service Announcement....
He in Leeds tomorrow.
And yes re. his lovely wife Stephanie.
And I'm not on commision.
Thanks for that Hot Cider...
...I've got a beast of a day on Tuesday as well - but I'm definitely torn!
Another Chuck fan here
I'll be at The Garage too.
Shall we wear pink carnations?
Or is there something else you can suggest that would enable us to recognice each other?
