Brilliant.
When Vic and Bob took over BBC2
In the 90s BBC2 had a Vic and Bob theme night during the Christmas week. I just remember being in stitches as much for the interludes as the main programmes. Here's a snippet in which Reeves and Mortimer dissect the tonsorial aesthetics of University Challenge

I'd forgotten about that sketch. Lovely stuff.
Would sir like The Veil of St Lucifer or the Curse of the Pyramids?
Like Bob, I'm strictly
a Riddle of The Tombs man myself.
A funny coda to that sketch came a bit later on. Bob faces the camera looking somewhat miserable and as the camera pulls back you see him sporting his new ROTT haircut. Behind him Vic smiles winningly and asks jauntily:
"So, Bob do you like your new Riddle of The Tombs haircut?"
To which a shell-shocked Bob replies:
"Yes and no.
[pause]
Mainly no."
