In Andrew Harrisons review of "Disgusting Bliss:The Brass Eye Of Chris Morris",he writes "Morris never actually filled a radio studio with helium during the news",And it it does seem like the kind of thing that Mr Morris would make up.
But it did happen and here's the proof.

That looked fishy to me..
Helium is a light gas.
Pump it into a room. It will rise to the ceiling, forming a layer which displaces everything else downwards.
At sufficient concentrations to give a squeaky voice, it would be dangerous.
Unless Chris was pumping in a diving tri-gas mix..
I bet that's what he did.
OK he's a genius.

I gather Morris isn't actually in it though
which is a bit of a shame.
