Cheryl Cole sacked

Oh shit, does that mean she might record some more music? Has this all been some sort of publicity stunt by Simon Cowell? Is her position on the UK X-factor still vacant? If she DOES come back I wouldn't be surprised if it was all a set up of some sort.

Fox didn't want her

Simon Cowell insisted. They capitulated, but it clearly wasn't working so he had to let her go.

Wonder if she'll be back on our X Factor. It's a bit tail between legs is she is.

It is very possible..

...that every bit of the above is not true. That is how much credence this strange fantasy world has.

No offence to you, Five-Centres !

After all this week's UK / US excitement...

apparently our Chezza is not a constituent part of the Essential Relationship

They're missing out...

her voice is probably the sexiest thing about her.

Interesting to see the chatter "out there" about this...

... pretty equally split between "how tragic for our Cheryl, mercilessly sacked by evil Americans, come on home pet, we love you", and "it's about time that up-herself bint got her comeuppance."

I think this is even beyond Darth Cowell's sphere of PR manipulation, could even be the most genuinely upspun piece of X-Factor news in years...

Have an up

Thanks for pointing that one out. Reddit, loved it. Her "air of European mystery". man oh man.

Not that I see her that often

but her hair gets bigger every time I see her. It's already larger than Jennifer Rush's barnet.

Perhaps

It's that her head's getting smaller.

Maybe she's a fan of

Geordie (Not) Sure

As his Bobness reaches 70, we now have a one hit wonder spoken of as the future of popular music. Her longevity will be restricted to the glossy mag fraternity until she reaches a certain age.
Seeing as she is a smoker the wrinkles will soon be evident and aged 70 will not be making a worthwhile musical statement.
America has been saved. Just as an after thought, anyone noticed how 'American Idol' has improved since Cowell's departure?

mystery and agreement

As a resident of this side of the Atlantic, I can honestly say I've never seen her or heard her. The fact that she's sometimes mentioned on this site (and gave one fine member their screen name) is the only reason I've heard of her at all.

I do agree with you CharlieB. I've watched the last several years of American Idol with one of my young daughters, and the show has definitely improved by losing Mr. Cowell as a judge.

Cheryl Kerl

I think the producers saw Geordie Shore and were scared off.

Am I the only person who

doesn't find that Cherly Kerl Twitterer remotely funny?

I love her

She's gorgeous, seems very pleasant, was in a brilliant pop band and has released a couple of decent solo singles.

Very pleasant

This is the part I don't understand. To me she seems difficult to warm to. It could just be me, but I reckon there's a nightclub toilet attendant who might back me up.

She seems pleasant

on telly. Everyone I know who knows her says she's lovely.

Everyone deserves a second chance.

1
Chimney Singing... | 26 May 2011 - 5:07pm

Yes, she's brilliant...

she judges people's vocal talents and then gets up and mimes.

But she's the new People's Princess don't forget!

Retro Man | 26 May 2011 - 4:46pm

Daily Mirror certainly seems to

have an agenda with her - she's on the ruddy front page all the time!

Biggest story: CC got ill...then got better! The wee trouper.

Aha

Now I understand Mr Hepworth's tweet about English regional accents on American TV

Profile too low

I may well be wrong, cos I can't be arsed to check, but Girls Aloud didn't have big enough success in the US for her profile to absolve her of any perceived failings she might have. She is therefore 'just' a beautiful girl with a nice smile, and they have plenty of those in the US.

A waste of space

I can't comment on her as a person, but as an "entertainer"/"celebrity"/"artist"[god forbid] Cheryl Cole is, as far as I'm concerned, a 100% waste of space. There's no sphere of public life or pop music that would be the poorer, even by a nano-scintilla, for her absence.

Did I say something naughty?

I could have sworn there were a few other words in that post originally...

There were

I removed the libellous part and e-mailed you via the contact form to let you know why. Hope you appreciate the reason.

But they'll be on Twitter

pretty soon!!!
