Can't seem to find the November issue anywhere

newpathstohelicon's picture

Is anybody else having trouble tracking down the november issue in shops at the moment? I've checked WH Smiths in coventry and birmingham, Local newsagents in atherstone, coventry and birmingham and also sainsburies in coventry and tamworth. all of these shops have stocked it in the past but i'm having no luck and it'll be the first issue i've missed in about the last 6 years. I'm planning on subscribing fairly soon anyway, but obviously that won't help me with this particular issue. did i miss a memo somewhere about the magazine going subscription only along with the podcast?

Sainsburys

Used to buy mine there, but our local branch stopped selling it.

I said "Don't you sell The Word anymore"?

"No, sir".

"Why"?

"Because there isn't a slot on the rack with 'The Word' on it". No slot, no magazine.

Bought the last of our local WH Smugs consignment of the November issue about a week after publication date.

There does seem to be a small cock-up

on the supply front in the Coventry area, (compounded by a particularly good selling issue). Sainsburys in Tamworth have four copies left and WH Smith, 29 Union Street, Birmingham have about 20 left.

If that fails, or is too far, you can order the issue here: https://word.subscribeonline.co.uk/back-issues/word, or subscribe here: http://www.wordmagazine.co.uk/buy

WH Smith

in Tamworth had some this am too. I am a subscriber but was browsing and noticed it on display. I must say though that if it is a particularly well selling issue we can expect loads more crap about Oasis. Aw shucks.
